Information about entry requirements for Spain


Updated information - From 7 June 2021, all those passengers from a country/area that has a SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus risk,must present, a certificate or document certifying vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative certificate of a Diagnostic Test of Active Infection or a certificate of Recovery after having passed this disease in order to enter Spain. This can be a EU Digital COVID Certificate, in the case of the EU, or a supporting document of those indicated above, whether the traveller arrives from an EU member state or from a third country. Children under 12 years of age are not required to present these certificates or supporting documents.

From 23rd November 2020 all passengers travelling from a high-risk country in relation to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, in order to enter Spain, MUST show a certificate with a NEGATIVE PCR result (RT-PCR of COVID-19), carried out in the 72h prior to your arrival. You can consult the list of risk countries in this link. (choose the language on the top right of the page)

This certificate or supporting document must be the original, must be written in Spanish and / or English and may be presented in paper or electronic format. The document will contain, at least, the following information: traveler's name, passport or ID number, date of the test, identification and contact details of the center that performs the analysis, technique used and negative test result.

The personal identification number (passport / DNI) that you used to get your QR must be the same as the one that appears on the negative PCR certificate.
